As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we recently encountered a challenge in sourcing the perfect material for Axel's distinctive jacket. Our dedication to the highest quality standards led us to conduct an extensive search for the ideal faux leather. This meticulous process, while necessary, has unfortunately resulted in a delay in the production of the Axel Plush. We did our utmost to ensure the Amicus kigus would be on the ship arriving in late October, in order to keep our promise to you. Unfortunately, we had to load them onto the next available vessel, which departed on Oct.25, and they are now en route to us at full speed.

Good news – we’re happy to announce that we’ve started shipping out the Amicus Plush! We’ll be sending out orders in the order they were received, but we have a heavy backlog since we’ll still be checking the quality of each plush ourselves as to avoid sending out any defective products.

For international orders as well as those who have ordered multiple items, there may be a slight delay in shipping as we get our bearings on a smooth fulfillment process. That said, customers from select regions should have received an email on October 2nd (or 3rd, depending on your time zone) detailing steps on how to expedite shipping. We highly recommend double-checking your email for a message from us if you haven’t done so already.

Firstly, we'd like to apologize for the delays on the Amicus Kigurumi. Between the modifications to the product and delays on lead times, the estimated ship date has been extended a few times already. We really appreciate everyone's patience with us, and we've got a production update for you as well a more concrete shipping date for you all.

The following notice is relevant to international Amicus Plush pre-orders purchased in May and June 2023.

We regret to announce that due to an additional in-house quality inspection plan, international Amicus Plush pre-orders from May and June 2023 will be delayed. Although we aimed to ship out these orders in July, we now expect them to be fulfilled by the third or fourth week of August. We sincerely apologize for this delay and are diligently working to complete the process.

For transparency as usual, we'd like to provide more details about this change:

At Pawprint Press, we have always strived to provide the best service to our customers, including affordable and timely shipping. Until now, we have been using S.F. Express for our international shipping needs as it allowed us to offer significantly lower shipping costs to our customers. Direct shipping from the manufacturing country, predominantly China, allowed us to make savings of up to 50% for our European customers and as much as 80% for our customers in the Asia Pacific region compared to shipping from the US.

Moreover, we have occasionally used S.F. Express to ship to customers in the Americas to reduce freight time and cost, which in turn helped us keep a lower retail price on some of our products. Since 2023, we have been fulfilling most products from our own facility in California with DHL, UPS, and USPS. However, we retained the use of S.F. Express for some products to enable our customers, particularly those residing overseas, to benefit from cost and time savings.

Despite these advantages, we have recently taken the difficult decision to discontinue our cooperation with S.F. Express. The primary reasons driving this decision are concerns around customer service quality, handling practice, and privacy. In keeping with our tradition of transparency, we are providing detailed explanations in this article about our concerns and the effects stemming from our decision to discontinue cooperation with S.F. Express.

The following notice pertains to Spencer Plush and Samuel Plush orders sold between November 2022 and May 2023.

We recently discovered a quality issue in a batch of leather suspenders produced in October 2022, which affected some Spencer Plush and Samuel Plush orders placed after November 2022. We are offering free replacements for affected customers and will be updating the design of the leather suspenders for future orders.

The following is relevant to customers who pre-ordered the Burrows Pin & Card Set.

We're happy to announce that we have finalized the box design and have put the production of the Burrows Pin & Card Set into motion. We want to share the box design with you in this update, and we expect to ship all the pre-orders in April.

Dear Customers,

We regret to inform you that, starting from March 21st, we have been experiencing an unexpected issue with our PayPal account. For reasons unknown to us, PayPal has placed a hold on our funds, which significantly impacting our cash flow, as approximately 35% of our incoming payments are made through this platform.

The following is relevant to customers who pre-ordered the Burrows Pin & Card Set.

Previously, we had estimated that shipment of this item would begin in February 2023. Due to unforeseen complications with the production of the box, we will have to push this estimate back into March 2023.

As we prepare to send off the last of the preorders of the Amicus Plush, we're making way for the next batch to be made available for sale. The Amicus Plush is now back in-stock for customers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The following notice is relevant to Amicus Plush pre-orders purchased in 2022.

It has come to our attention that the cape accessory featured in our most recent batch of the Amicus Plush is mirrored. While this issue is minor and difficult to notice, we wish to apologise for this oversight and will make sure this does not happen again in the future. (Please refer to the following diagram for a quick illustration of the issue.)
