Discord Bot Terms of Service

There has to be a set of Terms of Service because of some legal requirements and Discord's policies. Upon my suggestion, the team has decided to keep these Terms of Service as simple as possible, covering only the necessary legal matters.

So let's walk through it; I promise this is a TL;DR version.

OVERVIEW​

Thank you for using our Discord bot! This bot is developed exclusively for users of the Pawprint Press official Discord server.

For clarity, whenever we use the terms “we,” “us,” or “our” in these terms, we’re referring to Pawprint Press. We will also use "Pawel" and "him" to refer to this Discord bot in the rest of this document.

By using any of Pawel's features, you accept all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

GOOD-FAITH USE​

We ask that you use this website in good faith. In other words, you agree not to:

  • Engage in any unlawful activity;
  • Collect or track the personal information of others;
  • Interfere with or bypass the security features of Pawel or any related services;
  • Obstruct others from interacting with Pawel or using any of Pawel's feature in any way.

We reserve the right to terminate your access to this website if you violate any of these rules.

LIMIT OF USE​

Pawel is accessible only within the Pawprint Press official Discord server and exclusively to its members. Installing Pawel on any other server is prohibited and constitutes a violation of these Terms of Service.

DATA COLLECTION​

Pawel does not collect the messages you send to him unless you're using his "contact" feature.

If you use Pawel's "contact" feature to connect with our customer service team, your message sent to Pawel for this purpose will be transmitted to our customer service backend and will be visible to our team.

You may only send messages to our customer service team under Pawel's instruction. This may include asking you to enter your message in a pop-up modal or to reply to a specific message. Any message that is not sent in the way instructed by Pawel will not reach our customer service backend and thus will not be visible to our team.

By using Pawel's "contact" feature, you agree to allow us to collect the messages you send for customer service purposes and to store these messages in our customer service system to assist you.

By using Pawel's "contact" feature, you also agree to allow us to store your Discord user ID, and the Discord message ID of every message you send to Pawel for customer service purposes. The Discord message ID is a unique identifier helping us locate the message you sent so Pawel can reply to that message when he needs to convey any message from our team.

TERMINATION​

These Terms of Service remain in effect until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms at any time by ceasing to interact with Pawel. By interacting with Pawel again, you agree to accept the latest Terms of Service.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT​

These Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced here, form the complete agreement between you and us regarding your use of this bot. They replace any previous agreements, understandings, or communications—whether written or spoken. By using this bot, you confirm that no other promises or conditions apply.

GOVERNING LAW​

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of California, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law rules. By using this website, you agree that any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in the County of Los Angeles.

CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE​

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at our sole discretion—usually only when we add or change services or when required by law. You can always check the "LAST UPDATED" date at the top of this page; that date marks when the new terms go into effect.

Pawel will include a link to these Terms of Service in his message if the message is about the use of certain features of Pawel. By continuing to use those features, you accept the latest Terms of Service.
