Tube Shipping
Using tubes might be the most intuitive solution for shipping posters, so we're utilizing them to ship art prints too.
A tube offers the best protection against mishandling during the shipping process and provides an ideal shipping cost. However, it's tricky when we have to ship tubes along with other items. Our standard tube size (outer dimensions) is 40x7x7cm. Some customized tubes can be as short as 35cm. They don't fit inside most of our standard packages except for the huge pillow insert. Only a few small items can fit into the tube as well, which also have the potential to damage the prints inside the tube.
Therefore, our standard practice is to ship prints separately from other items. This will result in multiple parcels if your order includes other items and will incur additional shipping costs. We always recommend you try a new cart with prints only to see if it provides a better shipping rate.
Multiple Prints
By default, we'll ship prints from the same order in the same tube, which helps minimize the shipping cost. This is also one of the reasons we use relatively large tubes in order to accommodate multiple prints, as multiple-print orders are quite common.
In rare circumstances (if you order dozens of prints in the same order), we may utilize multiple tubes to complete the order. Other than that, you can expect only the shipping charge of a single tube.
Shipping Charge too Expensive?
We’ve improved our shipping charge calculator to identify tubes for separate shipments, so the shipping charge you see already covers the cost of shipping tubes separately. We may use special boxes to ship some complex orders, and in that case, it may be possible to put the tube inside. Should that happen, we'll refund the difference between the actual cost and the price we charged.
If you know a good way for us to pack your order without having the tubes shipped separately, please feel free to contact us, and we can discuss the possibility.
